The Personality We Wear. Photographer Shows How The Clothes Make The Social Man

"A man's shoes tell what kind of man he is."; semeone said that. And that someone was (partially) wrong. What you wear defines how you look to the eyes of society: if you wear a cop's uniforme you are a cop, if you wear a white coat in a hospital you are a doctor, if you wear crocs you are either crazy or brave.

We are beautiful creatures who have learned and evolved through assimilation, and in the same way we've learned to generalize random events and turn them into discrimination, racism. If you think you don't judge people by their appearence, you're probably right, at least in the conscience side, because you unconscience side is doing that boring task for you, so you can do more important things like texting while driving, self-food poisoning and study.

In this series of images you'll notice something very interesting; which is...

Mapping Stereotypes: The Most Popular Names In Europe

We are now around that time when a lot of babies start to show up at our doorsteps – you know, because of the order you made in the summer last year; the storks are really busy around this time of year, dodging bullets and delivering babies.

So, I’m sure you’ve come up with a bunch of names for your unborn baby, and I’m pretty sure they are awesome names, for you. No doubt Gaylord is a perfectly good name for any child, living in the 18th century; but in this century that name would only get your child an excellent ass-kicking and a trauma for the rest of its life.

You want to be creative and give your child a name one can’t pronounce without bending the tongue and swelling bubbles? By all means, please do that. That name will probably be popular in the next century anyway. But before you ruin your kid’s life, here is a list of names trending right now:

    For girls:

    For boys:

These illustrations are part of the project Mapping Stereotypes by the bulgarian graphic designer Yanko Tsvetkov.

PS: The names on the maps above can only be used for european children, and none else.

Just Got Remade: Whistler’s Mother

Back in the days the painters didn’t have the undo button to undo their shity steps so they had to live with what they had done. While some made awesome pieces of art that are today famous all over the planet (and in some other planets) others artists just got famous to themselves and their imaginary friends.

Although their works followed different paths of appreciation, one thing those two groups of painters had in common: they all wanted perfection. Even today we may imagine what Whistler was thinking when he finished Arrangement in Grey and Black No.1 (a.k.a. Whistler’s Mother): I think I should have painted her in a polk dress and with less wrinkles. And a lot of other questions.

Centuries later, easily affordable cameras and using the most famous inspirational musa on the world (the internet), artists bring to life the hypothetical dream of that late great artist. Some are true paradise with flowers, butterflies and real unicorns, while others are nightmare with no flowers, no butterflies and fake unicorns. Check it out:

Message In A Cake. How To Be Painfully Honest (But Still Be Sweet)

Apologising, confessing or simply saying something important is not easy. Although movies make it look easy, it ain’t, and most the time there is no happy ending. But, things always look better when there is food involved, especially cakes. So, here are some awesome ways to say what you wanna say without making the other part sad or mad at you, using cakes.

Too Much Estrogen: From Male to Female (In 14 Months)

We are entering a period of change, and I’m not talking about all the fat you’ll be putting on on Christmas, or the fact that the calendar is gonna change; I’m talking about the (another) World End, which happing or not will be a mark on the human history. People, please don’t go purchasing things like crazy thinking you won’t be here next year to credit all the shopping; this is the nth time it is said the world is gonna end – they’ve given this line so many times that it starts to give that feeling bad looks good.

So, being a time o change, nothing would be more fit than making a blog post about (sexual) change. You see, some animals can change their sex at free will, like clownfish, per example (yes, Nemo can do the trick), while others have more recently gotten the ability to change sex from chemicals that deposit in the water.  For the natural trans fishes, when there is a population of only females one of the fishes turn male, to fertilize the eggs, while when there is a population of only males, some (a lot) turn female, like happen in prisons, according to Hollywood movies.

Humans can do that too with the help of hormones (ex: estrogen), and here is an example:
