The Personality We Wear. Photographer Shows How The Clothes Make The Social Man

"A man's shoes tell what kind of man he is."; semeone said that. And that someone was (partially) wrong. What you wear defines how you look to the eyes of society: if you wear a cop's uniforme you are a cop, if you wear a white coat in a hospital you are a doctor, if you wear crocs you are either crazy or brave.

We are beautiful creatures who have learned and evolved through assimilation, and in the same way we've learned to generalize random events and turn them into discrimination, racism. If you think you don't judge people by their appearence, you're probably right, at least in the conscience side, because you unconscience side is doing that boring task for you, so you can do more important things like texting while driving, self-food poisoning and study.

In this series of images you'll notice something very interesting; which is...

Just Got Remade: Whistler’s Mother

Back in the days the painters didn’t have the undo button to undo their shity steps so they had to live with what they had done. While some made awesome pieces of art that are today famous all over the planet (and in some other planets) others artists just got famous to themselves and their imaginary friends.

Although their works followed different paths of appreciation, one thing those two groups of painters had in common: they all wanted perfection. Even today we may imagine what Whistler was thinking when he finished Arrangement in Grey and Black No.1 (a.k.a. Whistler’s Mother): I think I should have painted her in a polk dress and with less wrinkles. And a lot of other questions.

Centuries later, easily affordable cameras and using the most famous inspirational musa on the world (the internet), artists bring to life the hypothetical dream of that late great artist. Some are true paradise with flowers, butterflies and real unicorns, while others are nightmare with no flowers, no butterflies and fake unicorns. Check it out:

IKEA's Side Business: The Build It Yourself Cooking Game

IKEA has been, for years, keeping our inner child alive by taking the childhood game Build It Yourself to the next level: the adult level. Please, calm down your dirty mind. By adult level I mean, it is expensive so you need responsibility to manage it, plus the fun just last while you are putting the pieces together and right before your loose your temper.

Adult games like working, cooking and taking care of children are usually boring, unless your work is staying at home making a lot of money or travel the world for free. Or if you are a mad scientist.
Realizing that IKEA went out of its way and made a cooking game relating to Build It Yourself – because, honestly, who doesn’t like to put pieces together and building things. Have fun, kids.
The "game developer" was the photographer Carl Kleiner

What Counts Is The Inner Beauty. X-Rayed Pin-Up Girls

Sometimes I hear people say that what counts is the inner beauty, and as a future bio scientist I can’t agree more. The inside of any living being, the mechanism of life, is truly beautiful. But letting that aside the outside can look pretty good too.

Since we’ve always been told to not judge people by their aspect, we must get to know them deeper. Unfortunately doing that takes time and a lot of effort, and those are two things we don’t have much.

Fortunately for us there is this awesome technology called x-ray that allows us to do exactly that; get to know people in the inside, and turn us into super heroes, if we use it in excess, according to DC Comics. Check out this x-ray calendar of pin up girls.
